  • What's in a name? Everything! Climb, our Senior High ministry, aims to encourage teens to do just that - climb! That is to say, our goal as a ministry is to create a strong connection between working hard and experiencing new heights of faith. We believe that all Christians are called to a life of discipleship, and that the life of discipleship is characterized by new, exciting experiences of God as we press onwards in our faith. Christians who come to our group will expect to be challenged to go deeper into a life of discipleship, while non-Christians will find themselves in an environment where asking questions and challenging the norm is encouraged, rather than discouraged, because it is impossible to progress into faith unless we are first able to deal with the things that are holding us back from deep trust in our saviour, Jesus Christ.

We facilitate this kind of environment with two key elements: spiritual community and biblical teaching. We build our community time around a small group model, which allows teens to connect intimately with a close-knit group of peers while still enjoying group games and mealtimes together. In small groups, teens can expect to discuss tough questions, pray with one another, and grow towards adulthood hand-in-hand. And at the centre of our small group communities is an emphasis on teaching and studying the Bible together, whether that's through spoken lessons, video series, or book studies.

And hey, there's tons of fun stuff that goes on in our group. This is no boring bunch of fuddie-duddies. We just believe that "fun" and "work" are not mutually exclusive ideas, and we hope to capture the best of both.
