About Kristen
For the last 3 years Kristen has been involved with ʻYouth With A Missionʼ (YWAM) in Davos Switzerland. YWAM is a non-denominational and international missions organization. Their heart is to equip young Christians to live a life built on a biblical foundation, dedicated to God and impacting the world. At YWAM Davos, their heart is to work within the snowboarding culture, a culture that is typically associated with the extreme partyscene. However, they believe that the passion and fearlessness that God has gifted snowboarders with can be used for the glory of His Kingdom in a powerful way and that is why they are working to transform this culture.
Kristen's role within YWAM Davos is to develop and lead their leadership training programs as well as to direct their Snowboarders Discipleship Training School (SDTS). The purpose of these courses is to encourage young people in personal character development, to grow in their relationship with God and to identify and live out of their unique gifts and callings. Cross-cultural exposure is a main aspect of these courses, preparing the students to share the good news and answer the call to “Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). In the past Kristen has led teams to China, Haitiand Bosnia so that Godʼs love may be made known throughout the world.
